The Nature of Worshipping
For a character In The Age of Chaos the nature of worshipping is to roleplay the Pact and Divine Status. These indicates the agreements between the character and higher spirits.
The Divine Status defines the character's role in the world as a being bound to the grace of the gods. The Divine Status therefore defines to what degree the character must worship the bidding of the Divine.
The Pact is the agreement between divine and mortal. The Pact describes in what ways the worshipper must do the gods bidding. The worshipper will for that receive the wisdom and protection and gifts from the divine.

Then a worshipper prays, it is always a scream for help, for guidance or for protection. Then a worshipper prays he or she tries to seek the wisdom in her own soul granted to him or her by the grace of the gods. The trancendence of perceptions of elemental phenomena or problem to an aethyrial thought or emotion requires skill. Significant meditation skills gives bonus to Prayer Manuevers. The type of meditation skill depends on the pacts of the character.
Sacrifice is made to trancend elemental power into aethyrial power so the divines will behold and maybe answer the prayer. When a sacrifice is made something elemental with an aethyrial value (a candle or fire burning, items or even other mortals in which means something to the character) is given to the divine. This can be done in many ways; burning , eating, killing, loving, giving away the elemental entity of sacrifice to the divine.
Every Pact is also agreements on how to sacrifice, how often to sacrifce and what to sacrifice
Most sacrifices are done on holy days and times, unless the character is of the Clergy Class or an order of divinity eg. Priors of Calendôrian monasteries, Druids of the elves, Paladins of wargodesses, Rangers and Beastmasters of Taur Beleg, The Vølves of Teithadôr and last the worshippers of divines beyond the light, those who are beyond fear.
