In the heart of the kingdom of Calendôr lies the Duchy of Middleland. Once the great trading route to Culost and the people has always run for the fortification and watchtowers of the steep hills in times of darkness and danger. This center of the godess Myrmidia is home of the honourable Knights of The Silver Swords which also is the person lifeguard of the ruling duke. As long as Calendôr has existed this duchy has been a point great tactical importance and thelords has always been training soldiers and discovered and developed new tactics of warfare.

The steep hills and small dales of the northern part of Middleland makes good fortification sites, while the wast plains next to Deep Forest is dwellings of the best horse trainers in all of Calendôr. Many trading goods from all over the Kingdom is shipped on Long Lake. |

An alliance between the Duke Marcellus Teodorus von Wissenburg and the Priesthood of the Flame rules the duchy. |

An old grudge concerning the taxes and told rights of Long Lake has spread cold air between Lanc and Middleland.
To the west lies the border to the great elven forest realm of Deep Forest. The elves are hated in Middleland for stealing cattle and horses and murdering humans seeking safety from The Horde in the shadows of the trees. |

WISSENBURG
The Capital of Middleland
Great warrior of Myrmidia Marcellus Wissen built a great watchtower in the steep of the the hill named after him, Wissenhill. Around the great tower he built his castle and the place was renamed Wissenburg. Here soldiers and knights from the area came here to gather when danger was near. Also traders came to sell wares but also for the protection before getting on with their journey.
Marcellus Wissen was honoured hero of Myrmidia just before the foundation of The Faith, and a proud statue in grey granite of him stands in top of the old watchtower scouting for danger, looking after his keep. In the age of the Cuilrendir the city became attractive for wisemen and wizards for storing literature becourse of the protection of the city. In the deepest of the cellars of the keep there are still few small libraries containing important information. Also after the foundation of The Faith the wisemen of the lords of Wissenburg kept their wizard training in secret. |
